1. Information we collect
Account and profile data: email address, authentication identifiers, first name, household name, county or region, household size, pets, home type, ownership status, and home preparedness attributes.
Inventory and preparedness data: rooms, property descriptions, brands, models, serial numbers, purchase and estimated values, notes, tasks, emergency plans, routes, contacts, and related records.
Family Command Center data: invitation email addresses and status, membership roles, shared emergency records (contacts, meeting points, plans, tasks, supplies, reminders, and documents the administrator chooses to share), and member profiles. Member profiles may include voluntary information such as phone numbers, medical needs, mobility considerations, and equipment.
Photos, video, and camera data: images and recordings you choose to capture or upload. Camera access occurs only after device permission. Prevarra does not request microphone access; new in-app camera videos are recorded without audio. Previously saved or uploaded videos may contain audio.
Location data: precise or approximate device location when you grant permission, plus locations you enter. Location may be used to identify nearby weather offices, emergency resources, and geographic context.
Payment data: subscription plan, customer and transaction identifiers, payment status, billing period, and limited billing details returned by our payment provider. PREVARRA LLC does not directly collect or store raw card numbers or CVV codes.
Technical and communication data: device, browser, IP address, logs, feature usage, errors, security events, cookie or local-storage identifiers, and messages you send to us.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide household, inventory, preparedness, location, scanning, valuation, storage, family-sharing, and subscription features; personalize results; process payments; respond to requests; diagnose errors; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; enforce agreements; and improve the service.
Automated and AI-assisted services may process item descriptions or label images to extract serial numbers, identify products, or estimate values. Results may be inaccurate and should be verified.
3. How information is disclosed
Within a household: on a Family plan, the household administrator chooses which emergency records to share. Invited members can view shared records and their own assigned plan but cannot edit household data. A member profile is visible only to the administrator and that member. The administrator never receives access to a member's private sign-in credentials or payment information.
We may disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, authentication, payments, analytics, communications, mapping, location lookup, weather information, security, support, and AI-assisted processing. They may process information only for contracted services and under their own applicable privacy terms.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, property, users, or the public; investigate abuse; enforce agreements; or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections.
PREVARRA LLC does not sell personal information for money. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. External emergency, weather, government, marketplace, and other links may collect information under their own policies when you visit them.
4. Permissions and your choices
You control camera and location permissions through your browser or device settings and may revoke them at any time. Prevarra does not request microphone permission. Some features will not work without the relevant permission. You can update household and inventory information in Prevarra, cancel a subscription through billing controls, and sign out from your Profile.
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal information, or object to certain processing, subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Account deletion may not immediately remove backup copies or records retained for security, fraud prevention, payment, dispute, or legal obligations.
5. Where your information is stored, and retention
Prevarra stores account, household, inventory, and preparedness information in secure, access-controlled cloud storage operated by our hosting provider. Inventory videos, serial-label photos, and shared family documents are saved in a private storage area; access is restricted to authorized signed-in accounts, and files are opened through short-lived links. Saved camera recordings are not kept only on your device.
Saved inventory, media, and preparedness information do not expire automatically. They remain until you delete them. You can delete individual files in Room folders, individual items in Inventory, or everything using Delete My Data in Profile. Delete My Data does not delete your sign-in account, your record of accepting these terms, or billing records held by our payment provider.
Family data: when a member is removed or leaves a household, records the administrator assigned to that member become private to the administrator rather than being deleted. When a Family subscription ends, invited members lose access to shared records, which remain with the administrator's household. A member may ask the administrator to delete their member profile, or contact us to request deletion of their own personal information.
When you use serial scanning, the label photo you capture is sent to our AI provider to read the label. When you request a value estimate, the item name, category, condition, age, and serial number you entered are sent to our AI provider. Video and audio recordings are not sent to the AI provider.
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide Prevarra, fulfill the purposes described here, maintain backups, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory duties. Retention periods vary by data type and context. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information where it cannot reasonably identify you.
6. Security and emergency limitations
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for strong credentials, device security, and independent backups of important records. Do not use Prevarra as the only place you keep emergency plans, proof of ownership, insurance records, or irreplaceable media.
Prevarra is not an emergency communications or monitoring service. Information stored in Prevarra may be inaccessible during outages, disasters, network failures, or device loss. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
7. Children
Prevarra is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Household members should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information about minors. If you believe a child provided information directly, request its deletion.
8. International processing and regional rights
PREVARRA LLC operates in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, which may have different privacy laws. Where applicable law grants additional rights, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, limit, or appeal a privacy decision, we will honor verified requests as required.
People in the United States and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable national, state, provincial, or regional privacy laws, subject to coverage thresholds, exemptions, and verification requirements. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. Policy changes and contact
We may update this Policy as Prevarra changes. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after an update means the revised Policy applies where permitted by law.
Privacy questions and verified rights requests may be directed to PREVARRA LLC through the support contact made available inside Prevarra or in its official app-store listing. We may request information necessary to verify your identity and authority before completing a request.
